You are running a small business. That’s great! Everyone knows it is important to keep your customers happy if you want repeat or additional business from your customer base. I was recently asked by a friend, who owned a small business: How do you know if your customers are satisfied? Here’s some simple secrets. Three key indicators to look for:
1. Are your customers paying you for your product or services. Accounts receivable problems are often warning signs of dissatisfaction. Conversely, Customers who are satisfied, will gladly pay you.
2. Will your customers be a reference for you? How would you know? Ask them!
3. Does your customer refer you to their friends and other business acquaintances? Do you get ‘referral business’ from your existing customers. This is one of the best indicators of high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Watch for these indicators in your business!
